Amino Acid Therapy
Amino Acid Therapy is a clinically supported treatment for anxiety, insomnia, depression, trauma, addiction, food cravings, adhd and more. The brain produces our neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, GABA, and endorphins from amino acids found in protein. Often, due to stress, genetics, trauma, or poor diet, our brain cannot supply the neurotransmitters we need, resulting in many mental and physical issues. Amino Acid Therapy uses targeted amino acids in supplement form to help the brain replenish its neurotransmitters.
Amino Acid Therapy is powerful; it often brings relief in minutes. Unlike many medications such as SSRI's amino acids are not addictive and do not have withdrawal symptoms. By supporting the body’s natural chemistry, this approach works at a foundational level and in many cases, can be reduced or discontinued over time with lasting benefits. Amino Acid Therapy can be used as a standalone treatment or combined with psychotherapy, creating the stability needed for faster, deeper, and more effective therapeutic progress.
On average, Amino Acid Therapy ranges between 2-4 sessions total, depending on the specific client needs. The initial session is a full clinical assessment and an individualized amino acid protocol, tailored to your specific symptoms and goals. The rate for the first session is $255. Follow up sessions fine tune and adjust the protocol based on individual responses to amino acids. Follow ups are 20 min and are $120.
There are a few contraindications for Amino Acid Therapy. These include, history of mania, bipolar, schizophrenia or psychosis, suicidality, thyroid issues, high blood pressure, and migraine headaches (certain amino acids are ok with high bp and migraines but not others).
